Original Carl Eickhorn Dagger Tag
I picked up this Carl Eickhorn dagger tag off auction. It’s in mint condition and makes a nice addition to my collection. I think I will begin collecting more of these tags from the bayonet & dagger manufacturers of Germany. I’m researching, but at the moment I do not know which dagger or edged weapon this tag would have been used with. If you know more about this tag, please comment. Thank you.
This is a sword tag.
It leaves room for the Model No. and description of the sword/saber.
I has a line for the blade width (Klingenbreite) and Blade length (Klingenlaenge). Sabers and Swords came in different lengths to accomodate the height of the wearer. So the blade length is important information.
