This is my 1943 Sako Finnish Mosin Nagant M39.  I love this rifle.  It is the first military bolt action rifle I ever purchased and I fell in love with it. 

Here’s my M39 again with another Finnish Mosin Nagant, a 1942 Tikka M91

My collecting first began with black powder percussions since I’m interested in The American Civil War era, so here’s my US Springfield M1816 Maynard Conversion with bayonet and and 1861 E. Whitney .36 Cal Colt Navy Revolver with an early 1800s Laflin & Rand Powder Tin.  I also collect the powder tins as well as powder flasks.   Only 20,000 of these maynard conversion rifles were ever produced and this one is in very fine conditon.

Ok, just like my collecting, I guess Seitengewehr has lost it’s primary focus, which was supposed to be German bayonets…  Hey, my collection is various, so I suppose my blog shoud be too, but I’ll have some more bayonet photos soon, as well as more information and reading material.
