Bayonets of Japan
In addition to german bayonets, I also collect japanese bayonets. For the longest time I hoped for landing a copy of Larry Johnson’s Japanese Bayonets as this was the only definitive & comprehensive book covering japanese bayonets in depth. Well, I never did acquire this book, however, imagine my excitement to learn of a brand new book, Bayonets of Japan written by fellow Bayonet Collectors Network member Raymond C. LaBar. Ray has used his experience & knowledge as a bayonet collector into creating Bayonets of Japan and I am greatly looking forward to the day it arrives so I can absorb all the information and wonderful photographs of japanese bayonets. Everyone I have seen that has a copy has given it the highest regards & I feel that this book just may become the definitive source on Japanese Bayonets.
Larry Johnson’s Japanese Bayonets has been long out of print & is quite scarce. When copies do turn up they are quite expensive, so do not hesitate & do purchase Bayonets of Japan before the limited number of copies sell out. At the time of this posting, there were 600 copies left, so order now. As soon as I read it, I will provide more details as well as a written review. Just looking at the sample pages on Ray’s website at BayonetsOfJapan.com is enough to leave me giddy with excitement awaiting the day I will sit down & read it from cover to cover..

WOW! This book is AMAZING! Read the review on Bayonets of Japan here.
