  I enjoy collecting bayonets and I also enjoy research as well as helping others in regards to bayonet collecting, however, the numerous amounts of requests sometimes become cumbersome as far too many ebay resellers took advantage of my kindness only to end up throwing the bayonet on auction without even a thank you for the information I provided to them.

  I have an extensive library as well as a network of resources at my disposal as well as the knowledge and experience to assist you in identifying and appraising your bayonets, however, I will no longer do this as a free service to non collectors.

The fee for identification and appraisal is $10 payable through paypal.  You shall send payment and then afterwards I shall contact you for your information.

  The information you shall provide will be the overall length of the bayonet, the length of the blade, and the width of the blade.  You shall also mention ALL markings found and their location.  I will require a photograph of the handle, pommel, blade and the full bayonet as well as a photo of each marking.

  Upon receipt of your information and photographs I will review it and reply back to you with factual information on your bayonet such as country of issue, manufacturer name and location,date if ascertained, time period of use, conflicts bayonet would have been used in, which rifle it was manufactured for, which rifle it was modified to fit if applicable, and applicable relevant  historical information on the particular bayonet or manufacturer. This evaluation shall also cite any used sources.

  You may reprint my identification and appraisal on your ebay auctions on the condition you credit seitengewehr.com for the service and include a clickable link to this website in the auction listing.

By requesting this service you grant seitengewehr.com non exclusive right to republish your photographs on this website if I choose to do so.  You will be credited with byline for granting rights of use.  Your photos MAY be displayed on this site for educational purposes or to entice discussion and debate.

  In regards to values, the value you recieve from me will be a realistic one and not an inflated ebay value.  Values are based on US dollar.
