Seitengewehr is the German word for Bayonet and is also interchangeable in the German language for sword & sidearm.

German's also use Bajonet as well. The word Bayonet comes from the French who invented the bayonet in the town of Bayonne, for which the bayonet was named after.

I am a collector of bayonets, swords, antique firearms & older military surplus rifles.

I decided to use the blog format to show off my collection as well as provide valuable information to collectors or people interested in bayonets, military rifle's, etc. In addition to photographs from my personal collection, I will provide facts & historical information as well as links & valuable collector resources.
